We carry lines by AKG, Audio Technica, Audix, Coles, Sennheiser, Shure,
Studio Projects, and several others. Listed here are just a few of our
favorites, and some of the mics that we know work in studios day in and
day out. If you need to know what works best, or are looking for
something not listed, just give us a call.
We still think the Studio Projects is one of the best values on the
market. We all have our favorites in our list below. Mike chooses the
Shure Beta 87a for his vocals on live performances, the Audio Technica
AT4033 on guitars, the Audix D6 for kick drums, and the Coles ribbon
mics for really sweet vocals in the studio. The Studio Projects C1 is
his secret weapon for acoustic bass.
You'll find Chris going after AKG
C414 mics for vocals and the Shure Beta 52 on kick.
Dave uses the Audix
I5 for a snare mic, a Sennheiser e609 for classic rock electric guitar
tones, the Sennheiser e604 on toms, AKG C1000 on overhead, and rocks the
SM58 for vocals. Of course we all have multiple Shure SM-57 mics in our
bags, cases, floors or wherever they might be.
